My latest Youtube video and this post is definitely dedicated to the Knowles family. Beyonce is known as one of the greatest performers of our time. However, I think people overlook the expertise of precision and visual creativity found in her sister Solange.

Solange’s new album is a mix of soulful ballets laced with peace and self awareness. The truth behind her lyrics make you want to relive the word play or power and authority hidden behind every soothing note. She is a mix of wisdom and artistic flair, sprinkled with empowerment. It is a nice album to hear. However when you see the visual concept behind each video prepared by the artist and her hubby, you realize the idea of Solange being a musical artist is really a cover for her real anointing. She is the most creatively visual person of our times or of this century. Her ability to portray her words through visual displays of awareness and self perseverance are incredible. The problem and solution is that one can turn the volume off on either recently released videos such as “Don’t touch my hair” and still completely understand the meaning behind her song. Her work should not be uploaded to YouTube but instead displayed in an art gallery. Her dedication to visual detail embodies that of an 1800 artist. Even her album cover resembles artwork from another century.

She can find beauty anywhere and she knows how to enhance that beauty through the lens of a camera. It is absolutely amazing the way she entangles art and fashion in a way that speaks to the soul.

My only critique is that I pray she shares her gift of visual conception with other artist to help them bring to life their ideas. For example: Kanye West is a musical genius and can turn any lyric to an instant hit. However, visually his concepts are a hit or miss because of the overlook of certain details to bring them to life.
It would be a shame for Solange not to share such fabulous talents with the world!!
