Three years ago I celebrated my birthday weekend in Atlanta. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, reserved a room at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for family and friends that traveled from Louisiana, Tennessee, and Alabama, bought a 5 tier fashion designer birthday cake, and ended the night upstairs at Suite Lounge. After spending all of that money, everything was mediocre.
This year I decided to do things differently. I focused on spending time with friends and family more than status and found free events to attend. I had sooooo much fun and I realized it’s not about how much money you spend, it’s all about the experience!
