Where do I begin. With the immaculate display of creative intuition? With the styling and placement of the clothing in this wonderful depiction of beauty, art, fashion, & music? Or do I start with my simple love of everything Lauryn Hill?
As Virgil himself eloquently put it, Ms. Lauryn Hill has been a forever muse to many, and her presence, futuristic ideology, and creativity, is still embraced with the same love and affection from the beginning of her career. This is a great blend of art, where the fashion and music worlds collide in a moment of creative clarity and one world exist.
This was like a late B-day gift to me, filmed on July 31st (day after my b-day) in New Jersey, countries away from the fashion show it was created for. But in that studio, there was a harmonious tribute to Louis Vuitton in every way. I was in awe as I watched this Goddess perform in all her glory while her daughter, a beautiful notation to the future, watched also. The camera zoomed in and out to see her change before our eyes… from a simple white beauty with a carefully placed white monkey in her lap, to a contemporary gem dressed in a LV logo trench that spoke volumes without her saying a word.
